About me
Born in Ericeira in 1984, I am a true "Jagoz" a name we use for those born and raised in this beautiful coastal town. My childhood summers were spent at São Sebastião Beach, where I first discovered my love for the ocean.
From an early age, I learned how to swim, bodyboard, surf, and spearfishing, and since then, water sports have been an essential part of my life.
I have always been a passionate bodyboarder and a skilled surfer. My journey as a coach began at the age of 16, when I started helping friends and local kids at the beach. Since 2007, I have continuously evolved as an instructor, refining my skills and helping my students progress.
With extensive experience working at various surf schools, I have developed a deep understanding of different teaching methods. In recent years, I have focused on private coaching, where I find the most joy in seeing my students' rapid and consistent improvement.
I am certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation with Level 1 and Level 2 coaching qualifications.

When I started working with him, I was inconsistently catching waves on a midsize board. Now I’m fairly consistent on a short board and starting to learn maneuvers. Big progress!
